Bachelor thesis report 17

2010-10-26 21:55:25

keywords: bachelor thesis, Teachlets

Hello and welcome to a new weekly report. Today I talk about my conversation with Axel about the possibilities of improving the work yet. Contrary to my previous plans, a few not quite unostentatious points have emerged that require attention. Also, there's still time pointing to the repetition of my presentation.

New Goals

On Friday I was able to sit down with Axel. He has used some breathing out, assuring me repeatedly that he has been able to work without question, already very much. Nevertheless, there are some things that are not perfect:

  • The entry could not be simpler and clearer. I explain the rather abstract idea and then start right in their explanation. This could be even more gentle, as I will discuss a detailed example.
  • The design of the work (everything from the definition) is perhaps a bit too lean. The term evaluation is a good thing, but it could still be designed together with the chapter on teachlet variations further: it could still be described constructions, which are under the term assessment teachlet no more, but only similar teaching methods.
  • Parent point: The total length is for a Bachelor's thesis somewhat contentious. Axel confirmed to me that the work is already a well-rounded and in itself would have to be content anymore. This opinion would not, however, potentially everyone share. For the evaluation, etc. It would be good if the work had a few more pages. This can hopefully be achieved through the previous two points.

The rest were a few small items for individual formulations.

I have to do which we were still really something - just small fixes to have had, I probably too much hoping. I could of course make the work in its current form without breaking my neck, but I do not like things like half-baked. Therefore, I will probably still poke a little time there and produce a few pages of text. A little more than a month I still have.

A detailed schedule I'm not now though. For the new semester, I have not found my rhythm and really can not say when are schematically typical week in my good time slot. Too much time I have not, therefore, it appears from the urgency that I will take care of me now in my spare time available for it.

Talk to the Bachelor Thesis

Next Tuesday in SWT seminar (November 02, 4pm, D-220) I put my work before a second time. If you missed the first lecture or would like to see a slightly expanded version, is welcome to attend. The idea of a short demo teachlet has been at the room, but I've decided for lack of preparation against it. Instead, I think the best to talk and go on a few individual aspects of a more exact, the last time came because of the restriction to 30 minutes short. Finally, this lecture is voluntary and not graded, and somewhere I better set priorities.

So I hope I see you next Tuesday in D-220!

Outlook

How far I progress to Tuesday, I can not say because of an upcoming weekend seminar. With great advances until then I did not expect. It depends a bit on the course as of tomorrow, how well I can do other tasks and the forthcoming if there is little time for the dissertation. In any case, there is an entry here next Tuesday. Until then!
